With feet in clay
Gerard and Martine de Kimpe have been active in refugee work in the Noordoostpolder (The Netherlands) since 2015. To make the church service accessible to churchgoers at the AZC, they used a translation program early on to translate the church service live.
The desire to use the program in other churches grew. In early 2022, Gerard and Bob launched “Kefas. From then on, the program was available not only for their own church, but for all churches in the Netherlands. In 2024 Kitty joined the Kefas team, and together we continue to grow to support even more churches.
After two years, there are over 30 churches using Kefas on a weekly basis. And that makes us grateful. We are happy that together with the 'translators' we may contribute to the spread of the beautiful saving news of the gospel.

Our mission
With Kefas, we would like to tell refugees in their own language what is sung, prayed and said in a church service.
We are inspired by Jesus' command in Acts 1: '... when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will receive power and be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, to the ends of the earth ''
